It’s our honeymoon, and we’re glad we chose South Africa as our honeymoon destination! Spent 4 nights at Grand Kruger Lodge and booked 2 game drives, a sunrise bush walk and sunset drive via the lodge.

The lodge staff were good representatives of South African hospitality; we were well taken care of since day 1 – from decorating our room to welcome us for our honeymoon, the delicious and homely dinner spread (we looked forward to checking out the handwritten menu on the blackboard daily!), the friendly chats to find out if we enjoyed our Kruger National Park experience, leaving us chocolates on our bed after dinner etc. Returning to the lodge after our day felt like returning home to meet close friends whom we knew by name. Special shoutout to Innocent (yes that’s a staff’s name) who even gave us a ride back to the lodge when he saw us walking on the dirt path back after visiting Marloth viewpoint!

The game drives were conducted by the lodge safari guides, while the bush walk and sunset drive were conducted by SAN Parks rangers. We got Tamba as our game drive guide and learnt loads from him! From learning how to identify male/female animals via their distinctive features, to looking out for telltale signs such as animal poop and footprints to determine if the animals were nearby, the drives were like a live Nat Geo experience!

Definitely miss this place and everyone we met at Kruger/Marloth. Thank you for the lovely memories!

Spent the weekend at the lodge. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It felt like we were waited on hand and foot. They were always there and ready whenever we needed anything or had any questions. The breakfast and 4 course dinner was delectable. The facilities were clean and comfortable. We had the signature couples massage and it left us feeling relaxed and free of our city life stress. And the best part, the animals come right onto the stoep by the pool throughout the day. Would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a romantic getaway with their partner. What a stay!

The rooms are clean and comfortable. Fresh towels and bathrobes were available. Rooms are cleaned every morning while you have breakfast and they provide a turndown service in the evenings.

The spa is relaxing and the gamedrives are beautiful and exciting. We recommend the sunset safari (booked at reception).
Safety
Completely safe. Just don't walk around outside the resort after dark, as wild animals do roam around.

Good during the day, if you're not afraid of wild animals like bucks, warthogs, or monkeys.

Best Stay Ever Excellent value! Superb Venue! We had a great stay. The food was excellent, the staff were wonderful. Sifiso and Rosie were always smiling and friendly and very helpful. The amenities were 5 star. So lovely to sit on the deck or around the pool and watch the animals wondering around "doing their thing". Absolutely loved our stay and can't wait to come back.

We came across this great accommodation through Google and contacted them directly. We received a very quick response and the booking was flawless. The owner of the lodge also speaks German and all the staff speak excellent English! We received a very warm welcome and every day in the accommodation was perfect. Breakfast and dinner were included and there were plenty of options, including vegetarian options! We also tried out the spa and the full body massage was very relaxing. During our stay we had 2 safaris in the Kruger with a guide from the accommodation itself and a tour directly in the Marloth Park, where the accommodation is also located. There was plenty of water and snacks for the excursions. The chalets were very well equipped and very clean. The chalet was cleaned twice a day. Price-performance ratio was right from start to finish. All in all the accommodation was perfect and we would highly recommend it. We will definitely be back :-) Best wishes Verena and Kira :-)

My daughter and I were only there for Spa treatments. It ticked all the boxes - quiet, professional, totally relaxing. Soft light, warm room (it was very cold outside), soft music. Amazing facial. what can I say môre…?

Most amazing hotel ever! The location is to die for. Between Kudu, springbok, and zebra visiting the property, to the amazing food and service, this place will remain in my memory forever. Thank you to the kind-hearted staff who made our stay memorable. They arranged safari and panoramic tours for us. Every single tour was well organized, on time, and extremely convenient. They also set up the hot tub for us, which was so special. My friends were raving about the spa and massage. The location is about 20 mins from a Kruger gate and 1.5h from nelspruit airport

We spend five days and four nights here with a group of friends and kids and we did not want to leave. The staff is more than amazing, warm, lovely, fun, and the room perfect, the lodge beautiful. I will 100% come back.

I ask myself, why wait especially since there has been such consistency from the moment I made the booking to the time we are walked back to our Luxury Bush Chalet.The staff operate this establishment with the utmost care and attention to detail. Staff here were amazing, always very helpful and super friendly with incredible service. The food is great too! We were never left hungry during our stay. It was very quiet and relaxing. A great location with lots of options for activities. We happened to leave something very valuable in our room, and staff were amazing at helping us organise a courier service to get it back!

We felt very comfortable here, the Grand Kruger Lodge is very stylish. The team was very friendly and the buffet in the evening was excellent. The room was very tidy, in the evening the pillow was even fluffed up again.
The safari we booked with Dennis was fun, we were able to see a lot of animals.

We can absolutely and unreservedly recommend the Grand Kruger Lodge!
We were there as a family of 4 and had a wonderful time. You immediately feel at home and welcome. The staff is incredibly friendly and takes great care of you. Children are also very welcome here. The atmosphere on site is great.

We had a chalet for 4 people - the chalet is super spacious, very clean and well equipped. The pool is great for relaxing after the safari and the food is great. Thanks again to the great chefs!
In the evening you can sit on the beautiful terrace or around a fire for a sundowner.

The location of the lodge is perfect for safari day trips into the Kruger National Park - these can easily be booked through the lodge or done on your own. The lodge itself is located in its own reserve, which is home to many animals - we encountered the first giraffes shortly before reaching the lodge. Kudus, monkeys and warthogs come and go on the lodge grounds.

A big thank you again to our great and super professional safari guide Becky, who spent an unforgettable day with us in Kruger and from whom we learnt a lot about the Natiponal Park, the animals and life in this part of South Africa in general. Great guy!

All in all, full marks for this great lodge with its world-class staff! We would really really love to come back!

Very nice place in the middle of Marloth Park. It was a great location for Safari Trips in Kruger National Park. The staff was very friendly and food was delicious. Our highlight was the Kudus and Giraffe of Marloth Park, which occasionally came in the garden of the lodge.

All was amazing in this place. We would choose it again. Calm oasis with great services. We enjoyed the food, the spa, the whole stay. The staff will help you organise anything for you. We arranged our safari full day game drive with the hotel directly.

Wonderful experience. We Stayed a few days early january and could Not ask for a better experience. The Hôtel is very Nice, clean, spacious. The Restaurant was very Tasty, we wanted to try Game Meat and they organized this for US. The Tours Organized By the Hôtel were wonderful, as well as the ones they arranged with the park. The best part was the staff itself. Everyone was super Attentive and helpful. They Go out of their way to help in any way they can!

Die Grand Kruger Lodge liegt im Merloth Park, südlich vom Kruger Nationalpark (Gate Crocodil Bridge). Den Merloth Park und den Kruger Nationalpark trennt lediglich der Crocodil River. So kannst du auch direkt im Merloth Park eine erste Safari erleben. Bei uns war es eine Twilight Safari entlang dem Crocodil River inkl. Picknick während des Sonnenuntergangs.

Anlage:
Die Grand Kruger Lodge überzeugt mit ihrer ganzen Atmosphäre. Von tollen Busch-Lodges, über ein schönes Restaurant mit großer Außenterrasse inkl. tierischen Besuchen, Grill- und Feuerplatz, bis hin zum Pool mit sonnigen Liegeplätzen.

Sobald du als Gast eintriffst bist du ein Teil einer großen Familie. Ganz nach dem Motto: You get what you give.
Das Personal liest dir jeden Wunsch von den Lippen ab und steht dir jeder Zeit mit Rat und Tat zu Seite. Selbst auf deiner weiteren Reise. Zum Personal gehört auch ein absolut top ausgebildeter Safari Ranger - William. Wir hatten das Vergnügen drei Touren mit ihm zu erleben und waren absolut begeistert.
Da der Inhaber Uwe ursprünglich aus Deutschland kommt, konnten wir sogar auf Deutsch kommunizieren :)
Ohne wenn und aber bekommt das Personal 10 von 10 Punkte.

Preis Leistung:
Wir haben uns lange nach einem passenden Rundum-Paket umgesehen. Zu diesem Paket gehörten eine Lodge mitten in der Tierwelt, ein Pool zum Entspannen, ein Restaurant inkl. Bar und eine geführte Safari mit offenen Safari Fahrzeugen. Da die Lodge nicht im, aber unmittelbar am Kruger Nationalpark liegt (max. 15 Minuten Autofahrt), ist der Preis unschlagbar im Vergleich zu anderen Angeboten die wir uns eingeholt hatten.

Essen:
Die Lodge bietet eine große Auswahl, sowohl an afrikanischen als auch an internationalen Gerichten.
Unser Highlight war der typisch afrikanische Braai und das gemeinsame zusammen sitzen aller Gäste am offenen Feuer.

Fazit:
Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen und es all unseren Freunden weiterempfehlen.

Perfect was amazing, he helped a lot with arranging our activities and making sure we enjoyed our stay. The game drive with William was very informative, he was helpful and shared some information about the animals. The game drive was our highlight of the stay.

All of your staff, viz; Surprise, Rose, Sipho, Million and the Room Cleaner who was always amazing as to when does she get all of the cleaning and bedding at a lightning speed that i saw less of her.

Amazing experience. Good accomodation and the staff are extemely receptive and attentive to our needs. Really super impressed and would highly recommend the lodge. It is more suited for couples but kids can enjoy the pool too!

The Kruger lodge itself is highly recommended. They go out of their way to take care of their guests.
The staff were very attentive to all our needs. I was very impressed with how they took care of us which was a big bonus. The food was absolutely amazing - lamb potjie was to die for. The dinner setting is fantastic with the option to sit around the fire for a pre-or after dinner drink. The property is well positioned in Marloth park and we could do early morning walks to the fence to see Crocodile river.

Highly recommended. We recieved a warm welcome. Service and meals throughout exceeded our expectations. The staff is great....Rosie deserves a special mention. We loved her friendly smile and humour. The surroundings is peaceful and we could chill and rest. Lots of things to do as well..like game drives and other. Nothing is too much for the staff to assist with. We will be back!

The staff members at the lodge were very friendly and we really felt at home. But the award for me and my family goes to Surprise, Innocent and Becky. From the time we were doing a booking, from the time we left johannesburg and when we arrived Surprise was exceptional in ensuring that all we wanted and our travel to the lodge was superb. From sending us pin locations, to ensuring our safaris are booked and confirmed to assisting us with our luggage on arrival. Then Innocent made sure that our table is always set and provided various options for my son as he is vegetarian, to our drinks and everything when it comes to dining - he was a star. Then Becky our guide, our driver and photographer when we went on our activities. Opening the car doors for us, ensuring our items are always safe when we are busy with our activities, taking pictures of us a a family before and after the activities. Going out of his way to ensure that all is great.
The highlight of my stay was when the lodge and the staff did a birthday surprise for my 3 kids, deco, cake and even singing for them. This was exceptional and this was not charged at all, this was done free of charge. Wow

Innocent,Phillip,Rose were amazing.It meant a lot for the owner to come greet us as well.The chef was also polite enough to come show face.I think the whole staff is just amazing,they made our stay memorable,the housekeeping staff included...many thanx.

I’ll Be Back😁 the food was amazing...it was 4 course meal for the 2 day stay and it was amazing. Shoutout to our Chef Prince for giving us exceptional food during our stay. It was all worth it. The staff was amazing, loved everyone and they were so friendly and helpful. There’s so much I can say but it will be forever. Keep up the good work. Everything was to the T👌 I’m coming back end of the year...so excited!!!

I can honestly say this was one of the best holidays we have had in a long time. the personal service given by the staff was really 120% they take note of the dislikes and cater were they can. They become family away from family from getting up early for the game drives to the personal attention given when they did turn downs on our room. I will recommend this to everyone i know and cant believe how amazing the service was 10 Stars if i can

Great lodge to stay for a family holiday near the Kruger park.
My family of four including two kids 17 and 13 years stayed 4 nights at Grand Kruger Lodge. The amenities, food and service was excellent. The team of Surprise, Innocent and Phillip took great care of us on our birthdays during the stay.

We stayed in the 4 person Quad chalet which was clean and spacious. Choice of meals was great (we had daily breakfast and dinner). The spa which is expected to be expanded soon was excellent.

Wildlife at Marloth park is prolific. We took both a afternoon guided tour and whole day self drive into Kruger park through the Crocodile bridge gate. Saw lions, cheetahs, wild dogs and lots of elephants and buffalos.

Can definitely recommend Grand Kruger lodge for family bush breaks near the Kruger park.

The service is exceptional. Surprise and Innocent are wonderful staff. They will go above and beyond for you. ALL of the food was excellent. Chef Prince is amazing. His lamb chops, butternut soup and cheesecake was especially mind-blowing. The bed is very comfortable. The Twilight safari and full-day game drive in Kruger was very enjoyable. The place is easy to find.

What's not to like animals right on your doorstep. Excellent food, absolutely amazing staff. Made us feel like we were the only ones there.

Our stay was absolutely fantastic! The rooms were clean and spacious with a massive bed and an aircon which is very needed in the scorching heat. Dinner and breakfast each day was so yummy - there were plenty options each day and we were permanently full. The staff, Innocent and Surprise in particular, were spectacular - they were friendly and accommodating. The owner was also absolutely lovey - he checked in on us to ensure that we were happy and was very kind. They allowed us to check out very late on our departure day which was special as it allowed us a bit more time in the park and a dip in the pool before departure. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return!

Warm hospitality, owner oversight and food glorious food!

The food was good, well prepared. Workers were amazing beyond our expectations always very helpful and polite. Location was also good , well situate and easy to acesse.

During the recent school holiday we stayed at Crocodile Bridge camp Kruger Park and because there is no resraurant they allow residents to exit the park with a permit should you wyish to go eat at a restaurant. I called a few lodges close to the gate to book a table for 4 of us, and I was shocked to hear they only allow onsite residents no one from outside, even if they are not fully booked to eat at their restaurant. It was 3 x 5 star lodges.....😠😠. Any way there loss, but the Grand Kruger Lodge had a table for us. And I must say they will see us again. What a stunning establishment the staff ,Innocent , Surprise Samantha and Alli was so professional and helpful. The ambiance and homely feel with bush and 5 star experience is a must see! They offer a set menu, A la carte and buffet depending on how many visitors they have. We enjoyed a 4 course set menu and it was out of this world and well priced. See you soon when we visit Marloth Park!

The Grand Kruger Lodge is peaceful, immersed in nature and offers a treat for all the senses (from wildlife; nice architecture; water features to harmonize with the crying insects; restaurant).The friendly and attentive staff afforded us a very pleasant vacation.Enjoyed the variety of the restaurant: from new scrumptious dishes to the table decor adapting to compliment those dishes. One evening, each waiter dressed in her/his traditional attire. This, among other fine details, made each visit to the restaurant a unique experience.After dinner, expect to find your room/chalet prepared and ready for you to sleep. Prep' includes drawing the curtains and adjusting the room temperature/aircon. All thanks to the second daily housekeeping.Besides reasonably catering for our individual requests, the Grand Kruger Lodge also took initiative to further personalize our stay in such nuanced and unique ways. For example, on the morning of our game drive at 5am, the music playing in the restaurant was that of a musician from our home country.

The breakfast was superb and we had supper there, the meals were out of this world. compliments to the chefs and all staff. We were well taken care of and we were even upgraded to better room free of charge. Anyone looking for break out of the city, I will advise them to try Grand Kruger. It is not far from the Kruger fence and if you want tp get some exercise you can walk around around and meet our beautiful animals like the wilderbeests, springboks, warthogs, and many other species of buks that are just roaming around grazing. To all the staff at Grand Kruger, thank you, we really felt at home and our expectations were exceeded!!!!
