"Words can not describe just how fantastic our stay at the Grand Kruger Lodge was (but I’ll try!). We absolutely loved this place. We stayed 4 nights here and were sad to leave. Leon and his staff were very helpful, friendly and made us feel more like family than guests. The safari drives were amazing. The guides are clearly wildlife enthusiasts and their knowledge on the animals is incredible. The highlight of our stay was a guided bush walk. The lodge is set deep in the bush and as such, there are animals wandering close by going about their business. We got up close to zebra, kudu, impala, bush bucks, lizards and wart hogs. We stayed in a lodge house set away from the main lodge and was very quiet, relaxing and comfy. Perfect. The food is very plentiful and tasty and can be served inside or out. The Grand Kruger Lodge is a special place and is awesome value for money. I can't recommend this place highly enough. " |

"This was a lovely place. Well laid out, large dining area, three level verandah, nice pool deck, large well stocked bar. An Afrikaner would probably love the food: dinner had three kinds of meat, three kinds of potato dishes, plus a grilled cheese sandwich with shima. This was after a starter platter with chicken nuggets, ribs, deep fried cheese, potatoes and pickles. We found it bit too much food and a bit heavy. This may not be a problem for others. Our chalet was lovely the grounds were well maintained, the staff was friendly and we enjoyed our stay. " |

“Amazing honeymoon lodge”
My new husband and I stayed at GKL for 5 days earlier this month and everything about it was top notch. The food was absolutely incredible- delicious soups, salads, main dishes and desserts every night. A good selection of wines, beers and other drinks. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Arnoux was a fantastic guide for one of our 8 hour game drives- he was full of information while also respecting the park and the animals at the same time.
We stayed in a bush chalet and it was spotless every day when we came back. The beds were comfortable, the showers were hot, and the chalet was spacious.
I would HIGHLY recommend this lodge to anyone wanting to go to Kruger National Park. The lodge is not located in the park, however, with the absolutely delicious food and the ability to see animals on the drive to Crocodile Bridge Gate (about 20 minutes or so) because the lodge is in Marlmoth Park, we didn't mind the drive.
